DESCRIPTION:This year\, for this 7th edition of the 5G Techritory platform initiative\, the event will take place from October 30 to October 31\, 2024\, with over 600 speakers and guests in attendance in Riga\, Latvia. \nOver the course of the two days\, the SNS ICE project\, a Smart Networks and Services Joint-Undertaking (SNS JU) support project for coordination and support actions (CSA) in charge to establish dialogue with 6G initiatives in Europe\, has co-organised the following 5 events: \n  \nShifting the Balance: Advancing Diversity in Telecoms R&D \n| October 30\, 11:00 – 12:30\, Room K | \n \n \n\nIntroductions from WiTaR and Riga Techgirls;\nBar Camp highlight – Industry and academia’s view and practice to encourage gender diversity\nResults of diversity survey\n\n  \nSNS-ICE #1 – From 5G to 6G: leveraging key trends and 5G evolution to shape 6G for vertical sectors \n| October 30\, 14:00 – 17:00\, Room K | \nThis co creation event will share 5GPPP and SNS JU experience in developing mobile technologies. 6G-IA members will share results on trials to validate vertical uses cases\, while industrial players will share their experience to bring 5G to real world. \n  \nPanel discussion on WHY 6G: The European Priorities \n| October 31\, 10:30 – 11:30\, Policy & Strategy Stage – Streaming | \nThis panel explored why 6G is needed and Europe’s priorities in its development\, including technologies and societal impact.
