SUMMARY:ETSI and SNS JU: Transforming Ideas into Impact Through Standards
DESCRIPTION:Introduction\nStandardisation is of key importance in the impact and exploitation plans of European projects. In this context\, the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) is one of the most important standards bodies in Europe and worldwide. \nDifferent ETSI groups like the Industry Specification Groups (ISGs) and the Software Development Groups (SDGs) present great opportunities for SNS JU projects to have a significant impact with their research results. \nIn this webinar\, ETSI and SNS JU\, supported by the SNS CO-OP project\, presented an overview of the ETSI standards making process and the current status of its activities. And explored ISGs and SDGs\, the first steps projects may take to contribute and best practices for translating research outcomes into impactful standards contributions. \nKey Insights\n\nUnderstand ETSI and the importance of standards\nGain exclusive insights about ETSI ISGs and SDGs.\nFind the opportunities to participate in ISGs and SDGs.\nLearn best practices to increase the standardisation impact of research projects.\n\nAgenda\n\n14:00 – 14:10: Introduction by SNS JU\n\nETSI and SNS JU: Transforming Ideas into Impact Through Standards Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU)\n(Pavlos Fournogerakis\, Deputy Head of Programmes)\n\n\n14:10 – 15:00:  ETSI presentation (Introduction/ ISG/ SDG)\n\nBridging Research and Standards participation in ETSI Industry Specification Groups (ISG) for pre-standardisation. \n(Muriel Deschanel: ETSI R&I Technical Officer)\nISG success story – the ISAC example. \n(Alain Mourad: Senior Director\, Head of InterDigital Wireless Lab Europe\, Chair of ISG ISAC and ETSI board member.)\nETSI open-source work and Software Development Groups (SDG). \n(Silvia Almagia: ETSI Director\, Software and Standards)\n\n\n\n\n15:00 – 15:30:  Questions/Panel – Moderated by José Almodovar Chico (TNO) \n\n  \n\nRecording

SUMMARY:SNS CO-OP Questionnaire Webinar - SNS JU programme KPIs for 2025
DESCRIPTION:Event Description:\nThe Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) currently has  79 ongoing projects that are collectively contributing to the many Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that allow us to monitor the progress of the SNS JU as a whole.  In total\, these projects take both evolutionary and revolutionary approaches towards the research and development of novel technologies\, functionalities and ecosystems that will enable the transition towards 6G networks by 2030\, and this can be assessed by asking the projects to report on their individual achievements in terms of the program KPIs. . \nThe SNS CO-OP Coordination & Support Action project\, tasked with supporting the projects’ work and promoting the key messages of the SNS Joint Undertaking\, has conducted an extensive survey via an online questionnaire during the first semester of 2026 to obtain additional progress information about each project’s technical aspects\, vision\, approach and achievements. \nThe goal of this survey was to better understand the work planned and the progress achieved so far by the projects. \nThis webinar presents the results of the Questionnaire 2026 in terms of the progress achieved on the SNS JU KPIs during 2025. \nKey Details:\n\nDate: 18th May 2026\nTime: 14:00-15:00 CEST\nLocation: Online Webinar\nRecording link: https://youtu.be/Z9RyX5vW4Sw\n\nAgenda & slides:\n\n14:00 Welcome and introduction (Uwe Herzog\, Eurescom\, SNS CO-OP Coordinator)\nMessage from the SNS JU (Christina Apostolaki\, SNS JU\, Project Officer)\nSNS JU KPI status (Arda Güreller\, Ericsson\, SNS CO-OP)\nQ&A and way forward (Uwe Herzog\, Eurescom\, SNS CO-OP Coordinator)\n15:00 End of webinar\n\nRecording:
