SUMMARY:8th IEEE World Forum IoT - ASSIST-IoT CfP
DESCRIPTION:The 8th World Forum on the Internet of Things is scheduled from 26 October to 11 November 2022 in Yokohama\, Japan. \nThe Theme for the World Forum is “Sustainability and the Internet of Things”. You will find that the discussion and dialog at the conference will emphasize presentations and panels addressing the four pillars of sustainability: human\, social\, economic\, and environmental. The World Forum will specifically focus on how technical IoT applications and solutions contribute to the seventeen Sustainability Development Goals that were developed in the UN Brundtland Report. \nThe conference will be held as a hybrid conference consisting of both Virtual Live Online and Face-Face sessions where the Face-Face sessions will take place between October 31 and November 4 at PACIFICO Yokohama North. \nASSIST-IoT will be there and call for papers for its Special Session entitled “Future Platforms for Edge-Cloud Continuum–Theoretical Foundations and Practical Considerations”. Call for papers is open. Deadline 13 June 2022. Contributions addressing theoretical and practical aspects of the following topics are invited (this list is\, obviously\, not exhaustive): \n\nIoT architectures for domain agnostic user-aware\, self-aware\, (semi-)autonomous edge-cloud continuum platforms\, including proposals for novel decentralized topologies\, ad-hoc resource federation\, time-triggered behaviors\nFoundations for next generation of higher-level (meta) operating systems facilitating efficient use of computing capacity across edge-cloud continuum\nResource aware AI\, including frugal AI\, bringing intelligence to the edge-cloud continuum platforms (and ecosystems)\nCognitive frameworks leveraging AI-techniques to improve optimization of infrastructure usage and services and resources orchestration\nEfficient streaming Big Data processing within large-scale IoT ecosystems\nInteroperability solutions for multi-user edge-cloud continuum platforms\, capable of coping with systematically increasing complexity of connecting vast numbers of heterogeneous devices\nFederated data spaces approach for improved data governance\, sovereignty and sharing\nPrivacy\, security\, trust and data governance in competitive scenarios\nCO2 footprint reduction and efficient use of green energy in edge-cloud continuum ecosystems\nPractical aspects of resource orchestration within highly heterogeneous\, large-scale edge-cloud continuum ecosystems\nIntent-based networking and its application to IoT\nSwarm intelligence for IoT-edge-cloud continuum\n\nIn case you might be interested you may find more information in the ASSIST-IoT webpage here.

SUMMARY:5G TECHRITORY Forum: Europe’s Leading 5G Ecosystem Forum
DESCRIPTION:5G’s leading minds will congregate in Riga\, Latvia\, to put together some of the world’s most comprehensive content regarding this year’s main topic : Future Life. \nTopics on the table : \n\nFuture Networks & Intelligent Services\nSustainable Life\, Autonomy & Green Mobility\nXR\, Digital Twins & The Metaverse\nHealth\, Safety & Security\n\n\n\n5G TECHRITORY – EUROPE’S LEADING 5G ECOSYSTEM FORUM\n\n\n\nWe are moving ever-closer to a super-connected\, 5G-enabled world. 5G infrastructure will become the engine of the connected world\, and will rely on policy\, norms\, and standards that do not yet exist. \nThe global 5G ecosystem is still fragmented\, which delays us from accessing the full benefits of 5G technology. What we need is to establish a common ground among all of the players in the field that would put all the pieces together. Rules to adhere to\, values to be guided by\, and goals to lead us all in one\, unified direction. \n5G Techritory is Europe’s leading initiative that brings together industry experts\, business leaders\, top scientists\, and policy makers to set the agenda for making a strong 5G ecosystem a reality. \nWe call on the leading minds of the 5G ecosystem to gather to share knowledge\, open new horizons\, and collaborate on the advancement of this industry: \n\nBusiness leaders – to create innovative business models\nPolicy makers – to create the policies to guide them\nInvestors – to fund the advancement of a 5G society\nScientists – to support adoption of 5G technologies in society\n\nThe forum’s new – phygital (physical + digital) – format has allowed us to gather an exceptionally large number of participants and created borderless opportunities for 5G practitioners to meet and collaborate. \nJoin us in building 5G Techritory and witness the growth of the 5G ecosystem! \n\n\n\n  \nRegister for free: https://www.5gtechritory.com/registration/

SUMMARY:5G Italy: 5th edition Towards the Telecoms of the future
DESCRIPTION:5G Italy reaches its 5th edition. The international conference promoted and organised by the Italian National Inter-University Consortium for Telecommunications – CNIT (Consorzio Nazionale Interuniversitario per le Telecomunicazioni) is once again the most significant event in Italy about 5G and its several application areas. \nThe fifth edition of 5G Italy – Towards the Telecoms of the Future –  will cover the research\, development\, and implementation activities currently under way in Italy and the rest of the World and will also feature the projects linked to the National Recovery and Resilience Plan – NRRP (Piano Nazionale di Ripresa e Resilienza\, PNRR)\, allocating major investments for the digitalisation of the Country. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDOWNLOAD PRESENTATION\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn this transition process\, 5G will act as one of the connecting points for electronic communications and will be a key factor to boost national economy\, as well as drive economic growth. In this complicated and challenging historical period\, 5G will play a more and more relevant role for its industrial and social applications\, but also in fields such as services\, businesses\, and Public Administrations. \n5G Italy will also be a great networking opportunity: a strategic meeting-point for businesses\, public entities\, the academic world and decision-makers. \nParticipation\n5G Italy will count on the valuable participation of distinguished institutional representatives (i.e.\, from Government\, Parliament\, and Public Entities)\, as well as C-suite from top-rated Italian and foreign companies.\nSpeakers will be cherry-picked from a shortlist of top managers active in the areas to be discussed at the event.\nCNIT will draft and deliver individual invitations directly to the speakers/institutional representatives\, checking on their availability\, with a commitment to the success of the event. \nOnline and Onsite\nThe Conference will be a hybrid event: set up in a prestigious Galleria del Cardinale Colonna\, a TV studio will accommodate speakers and guests\, for them to participate either on site or online. \n
