Construction Deep Dive: 5G for Automation and of Deconstruction Processes

In this TARGET-X webinar we will explore the potentials of 5G as a communication standard for construction machines to perform selected deconstruction activities and transition towards a more circular economy. We will present the demonstration of a prototypical deconstruction system, by incorporating Extended Reality (XR) technology for adaptive planning and execution of the tasks.

You’ll gain insight into the setup and status of the implementation on the trial site under real-life conditions. To enable information visualization and machine control in real time on the construction site, XR-technology was incorporated into the workflow for the adaptive planning and execution of tasks. By enabling controlled deconstruction, we’re paving the way for improved material recovery, reduced waste, and smarter construction practices.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about this construction use-case from TARGET-X.

Your speaker are Victoria Jung, Research Associate at Individualized Production in Architecture RWTH Aachen University, and
