About WiTaR

The Women in Telecommunications and Research (WiTaR) Working Group was established in 2021 under Hexa-X and now forms part of the SNS Programme. It strives to close gender gaps, raise awareness, and empower women in the 6G research & innovation ecosystem. With only 20% female participation in earlier flagship projects, WiTaR aims to drive real change by promoting visibility, leadership, and gender-balanced approaches in all layers of tech development.
