TARGET-X Next-Gen Manufacturing: Virtual PLCs in the cloud using real-time wireless protocols – 18 September 2025, 10:00 – 11:30 CEST

This webinar focuses on how manufacturers can enhance flexibility and scalability by deploying virtual PLCs hosted in the factory cloud, enabling rapid adjustments to production lines in response to changing demands. Virtual controllers minimize hardware constraints and form a key element of flexible, adaptive production.

Within this session, the concept of virtual PLCs and the architecture implemented in TARGET-X will be presented. Starting with the communication solution, the webinar will provide deep insights into 5G and Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN), as well as different measurements and validation scenarios for wireless real-time fieldbus communication. Approaches for real-time cloud computing solutions will also be discussed, including the use of real-time Kubernetes.
