Workshop on the sustainability of telecommunications networks

Introduction and context:
The European Commission’s Joint Research Centre has recently published the EU Code of Conduct for the sustainability of telecommunications networks.
In line with the Action Plan and other EU policies, environmental sustainability of telecommunications networks should contribute to achieving the EU climate targets. Stakeholders can assess environmental sustainability during the design, manufacturing, deployment, operation, maintenance, audit and decommissioning phases. These assessments should follow the best practices based on standards, as set out in this EU CoC, with a particular focus on the operation phase.

On behalf of the SNS Sustainability Working Group, we would like to cordially invite you to this online session which will be held online on Friday March 13, 9:30-11:00. (The access link to the Webinar will be included in the Auto-response to your registration below.)
The workshop will provide an overview about the EU CoC and offers the opportunity to exchange views and discuss with key contributors:
- Commission presentation – CoC overview (Scope, purpose, industry uptake / adoption perspective) and relevance for telecom networks and R&I activities
- Exchange of views / discussion with SNS JU projects
