The Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) invites you to our exclusive session titled: “Digital Infrastructure of the Future: Shaping Europe’s Competitive Edge” at the Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona on Monday 3 March, at 9:00 am. This dynamic discussion will delve into the evolution of digital infrastructure from a transmission-centric paradigm towards a computing-centric future. What does this mean for Europe and how can industry benefit?
Only 150 seats are available, so don’t lose the opportunity to join the session!
This is an official MWC25 session, and therefore, to access the venue, the appropriate MWC pass is needed. This session may be attended with an exhibition pass.
This MWC25 SNS JU session will explore the future of networks and services innovation, as well as technological convergence within and beyond the telecoms sector. The path to 6G will demand groundbreaking advancements across multiple domains and the convergence and integration of adjacent technologies traditionally outside the telecoms domain – ranging from artificial intelligence, next generation (telco) cloud edge continuum to microelectronics and Non-Terrestrial Networks.
This session will delve into how Europe’s digital infrastructure is evolving from transmission-centric paradigms toward a computing-centric future. It will explore the critical role of converging technologies—radio access networks (RAN), edge computing, and artificial intelligence (AI)—in shaping Europe’s digital economy and sustaining its global competitiveness.
Participants will gain insights into the transformative shifts required to build a robust and future-ready infrastructure that serves as the foundation for innovation, economic resilience, and technological sovereignty in Europe.
Erzsébet Fitori, the SNS JU Executive Director and session moderator, stated: “Starting MWC2025 with this crucial dialogue demonstrates Europe’s commitment to digital leadership. In this session we’re showcasing how Europe is actively shaping the future of digital infrastructure and strengthening its position as a global technology leader.”
The event will also showcase the presence of SNS JU projects at MWC 2025, demonstrating tangible progress in advancing European digital infrastructure capabilities.
