6G-GOALS Call for papers Semantic Communication and Networking Workshop at the 17th International NoF 2026

Supported by the SNS JU project 6G-GOALS, an upcoming workshop invites researchers to explore the theoretical, practical, and architectural dimensions of this transformative field.

Key topics include:

  • Theoretical foundations (e.g., information-theoretic models for semantic communication)
  • AI-native systems (e.g., learning-based encoding/decoding, foundation models)
  • Goal-oriented networking and multi-modal semantic communications (e.g., integrating text, vision, audio, and sensor data)
  • Token-based semantic communications and semantic-aware routing
  • Privacy, security, and sustainability in semantic systems
  • Standardisation efforts and coexistence with legacy systems

Important Dates:

  • Paper Submission Deadline: 11 July 2026
  • Acceptance Notification: 15 August 2026
  • Camera-Ready Papers: 25 August 2026
  • Workshop Date: 29 September 2026 (Rome, Italy)

The workshop, part of the 17th International Conference on Network of the Future (NoF 2026), features a keynote by Prof. Sergio Barbarossa on knowledge representation in next-gen communication systems. For submission guidelines and updates, visit: NoF 2026 Workshop Page.
