ECO-eNET: From Research to Real-World Impact – Industry Showcase, Live Demonstration & Networking Reception
Tuesday, 17 November 2026 | 16:00–18:00 CET | CONNECT Centre, Trinity College Dublin, Dublin, Ireland
Industry Showcase, Live Demonstration & Networking Reception
Join us at Trinity College Dublin for the final event of the European ECO-eNET project and discover how three years of collaborative research are helping shape smarter, more resilient and energy-efficient communication networks.
As demand for artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing and data centres continues to grow, the need for sustainable and reliable digital infrastructure has never been greater. ECO-eNET has spent the past three years exploring how advanced optical and wireless technologies, combined with AI, can enable more flexible, efficient and resilient networks.
Taking place ahead of Data Centres Ireland 2026, this industry showcase will present the project’s key achievements, demonstrate its technologies in action and explore their potential real-world applications.
What to expect
- Research highlights: Discover ECO-eNET’s key achievements and their relevance to industry through short presentations from the project team.
- Live technology demonstration: See how intelligent networks can adapt to changing conditions and maintain connectivity by combining fibre-optic, radio-frequency wireless and free-space optical technologies.
- Laboratory tour: Explore CONNECT’s research facilities and the technologies underpinning the project.
- Networking reception: Connect with researchers, technology partners and industry professionals to exchange ideas and explore opportunities for future collaboration.
