The Stakeholders’ Group is an advisory body which brings together public and private stakeholders in the field of the SNS JU.

It plays a crucial role in ensuring that the SNS JU receives insights from the complete connectivity value chain, ranging from edge and cloud-based technologies and services to emerging components and applications such as AI, microelectronics, and devices beyond smartphones.

The group encourages dialogue and cohesion across related technology sectors, collaborating with Member States and other European initiatives. The group gathers at least annually to promote collaboration and share valuable insights.

The Stakeholders’ Group is regularly updated on the SNS JU activities and supports the Joint Undertaking and its Governing Board. Stakeholders’ Group members are called upon to provide feedback on strategic and technological priorities outlined in the Annual Work Programme.

Members contribute comments for shaping the SNS JU’s multi-annual Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda, considering advancements and requirements in neighbouring technology areas like microelectronics, AI, 3D communications, and dual-use technologies. Members may be consulted on issues such as policy and regulatory alignment with research and innovation endeavours, including standards, spectrum management, private investment, and industry adoption.
