SNS JU Info Day & Brokerage Online Event

The Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) has announced the launch of its seventh SNS JU Call for Proposals (second SNS JU Call in 2026) on FEM – Front End Module, a strategic initiative to ensure Europe’s sovereignty in 6G hardware.

This SNS JU Info Day and Brokerage Event took place on Tuesday, 26 May 2026, from 12:30 to around 14:30 CEST.

This online event aimed to inform potential participants about the SNS JU 7th Call for Proposals, Stream B, Front End Module (FEM) and let applicants know about the funding opportunities within the R&I Work Programme 2026 of the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU), and to assist those interested in submitting a proposal.

This Call complements the Chips Joint Undertaking call that addresses the key constituent technologies of the FEM, their integration and packaging and transfer to relevant Pilot Lines.

Potential proposers can find more details on the open SNS Calls and various Topics on the EU Funding and Tenders Portal.

The HORIZON-JU-SNS-2026-FEM call opens on 26 May 2026, with a submission deadline of 03 Sept 2026 at 17:00 CEST.

Speakers from SNS JU, Chips JU, European Commission and 6G Smart Networks and Services Industry Association (6G-IA) provided detailed insights into the Calls’ ambitions, focus, evaluation criteria and award processes.

Attendees also had the opportunity to pose specific Call-related questions and present their organisation and interests for possible future collaborations.

To further assist stakeholders in forming competitive proposal consortia, the SNS JU Brokerage Platform is also available. In this platform, any organisation can post its expertise or proposal ideas, and of course, all can browse the information posted by other stakeholders.
